Tokyo Korean School Library |
As the library coordinator, I led a a team of teachers to create the elementary English library program from the ground up. In collaboration with the PTA we developed a dynamic library program that was integrated into many areas of the curriculum and school life.
The library program website has been archived and is viewable below. |

Digital Storytelling |
In 2012, I attended a professional development workshop given by Professor Jason Ohler. It was a great experience and I immeadiately set to work incorporating the ideas into my library and classroom.
In no time at all students were creating some of the best projects I have ever seen. While it's impossible to show them all here a selected few are provided. To see others visit my vimeo album for digital storytelling. |
Summer School Tokyo Korean School
Along with a team of teachers I planned and conducted summer school activities for students. In addition to my role as a teacher, I developed promotional videos and websites for the summer school program. Some of this work can be seen at the following website.

Book Blog
I began a book blog as an academic assignment while pursuing my MSc in Information Studies. I have decided to continue it as a personal/professional project in my spare time assuming I can find some.

Teacher-Author
I began creating unique teaching materials for use in my language arts classroom. The curriculum was written specifically for the unique needs of students in an English Immersion program. As such, to get the best results, unique teacher- created resources were necessary to meet the needs of the learners.
Later, when I began thinking about graduate school I developed my store, Things You Will Learn, on TeachersPayTeachers as a way to save money toward my graduate studies. I'm happy to say it was a success. Resources are also available at Things You Will Learn on TES UK and USA. |
